I’ve been a Business Analyst for almost 25 years, I’ve been a Senior Business Analyst or Business Analyst Leader for over 10 years. I’ve worked in multiple industries across the private, public and third sectors.
I decided to start writing this blog to share my experience with others in the hope that I can help current and future Business Analysts think about whether Business Analysis is a career they want to pursue and how they can shape their career progression.
What I have tried to do is share my actual experience with readers, looking beyond the dry formality of some of the certifying bodies and giving a warts and all view of Business Analysis. The information I present here is intended to be pragmatic, it’s not going to help you pass any exams, but it might help you become a better BA.
Why “Order from Chaos”? Because that’s what Business Analysts do. We work with people to understand complex problems which can sometimes look chaotic from the outside. We apply our expertise and our knowledge to present those problems in easy to understand ways, so that other people can then work with us to try and find solutions to them.
